One of my favorite restaurants in my hometown of Columbus, Ohio is Schmidt’s Sausage Haus. Every time we make it back to Columbus Schmidt's is always one place that we have to stop. As someone who has an appreciation for sweets, especially chocolate, I can't wait to try this!

This is how I know I love my dog

In all seriousness, I love my dog.  She has an amazing personality, extremely well behaved, and is even improving on her separation anxiety!  However, the one thing that is driving me crazy is the amount of fur she leaves around.  I think it may mostly be due to the fact that she is 3/4 husky, but I blame the weather also.  It has been pretty insane.  For example, it looked like it was snowing two days ago, but if you walked outside you were actually getting iced on. Less than a week before that, it was 50 degrees and sunny.  My dog’s fur does not know what to do.  So, naturally, it falls out.

Today, I went on a 4 hour cleaning spree.  4. hours. Mostly, I vacuumed… through two bags because that is how much fur was in my apartment.  I even bathed my dog, brushed her out, and vacuumed again!  There is still fur around but it is considerably less compared to when I started.

I normally don’t clean that much.  When I clean for 4 hours because of my dog, I realize how much I love her – I will clean that intensely just to keep her around.  She doesn’t think that’s love because she is afraid of the vacuum, and the broom, and the Swiffer, and the rug if I hold it up.  She’s a strange and lovely girl; I love her dearly!
